The international World Heli-Challenge where the world's

Motor-sport action heads to the Cardrona Valley at Easter
with the International Hill Climb where the world's top
drivers race the clock and each other on a 13km charge
up the Waiorau Snow Farm access road in a Race to the
Sky. Music
Totally Kiwi music takes centre stage with a music festival
attracting the top bands and artists to the region for
a biennial celebration at the Rippon Rock Festival.
Festivals
Each winter the locals stage the week-long Winter Festival
while in late March the artists and students from throughout
Australasia gather for the Autumn Arts Festival.
Mount Aspiring National Park World
Heritage Park
This is the third largest park in New Zealand, it stretches
from the dense rainforests of Fiordland, across braided
river valleys and alpine meadows, to the heavily glaciated
Southern Alps and the Lake Wanaka township provides some
of the easiest access to the entire park.
Set within the Te Wahipounamu South West New Zealand World
Heritage Area, this is one of the most spectacular pristine
