New Zealands only Snowboard Camps. The New
Zealand Snowboard Camps have been operating at Cardrona
for the four two years. This has allowed creation of a
stable, fun and quality product where like-minded boarders
can learn and share time together. The sole use of the
Rookie pipe is the envy of many other riders and contributes
to the success of the program.
Please find details on the camps, inclusions and operational detail.
Start dates for 2007 camps are Monday July 24th - Monday
September 9th .
Eight weeks of camps running from Monday to Thursday with
Friday being a weather day.
The first choice of pipe will again be the Rookie although
the International is deep enough to take the Super-Pipe
shaper giving an alternative if required. |

There
will be a maximum of 48 campers per camp.
The
cost per camper will be a flat rate of $450 not
including lift passes.
We
recommend a 4 out of 6 day lift pass for campers.

| Inclusions |
NZSC
starts every day at 9:00am at the base building
area and goes until 3:00pm.
Campers
will receive 5hrs of coaching per day.
Coach
to camper ratio is planned at 1:6 and will not go
higher than 1:7
Campers
will be grouped with other riders of a similar level.
Campers
will have access to the NZSC reserved pipe, which
will be closed to the public, and shaped fresh every
afternoon.
Campers
will receive a minimum of 3 hours Halfpipe riding
in the reserved pipe provided that they are able
to meet their coach at 9:00am everyday. If campers
are late they may not receive the full 3hrs of pipe
riding time. If pipe conditions are good campers
might receive more than 3 hrs pipe riding.
Campers
will have 2 pipe video sessions per week and review
them the same day in Cardronafs video room. Reviewing
will take 30mins and this is part of the 5hrs per
day coaching.
Campers
will use the remaining part of the daily coaching
time to go freeriding and ride the park, or work
on other skills.
Campers will be required to wear the official NZSC
identification bandana while riding the pipe and
freeriding - this is also a souvenir.
End of camp party will take place on the last day
of camp downtown in Wanaka from 5:15pm - 6:30pm.
However this may be cancelled if there are less
than 10 campers that are able to attend.
Campers
will get lift line priority when accompanied by
NZSC coaches. |
